It is believed that the bronze plate inside the temple dates back to 1181 A.D. standing majestically on a hill top, the temple attracts a large number of pilgrims every year.

Pandukholi the place where Pandava spent their Agyatwass during exile as mentioned in Mahabharat, Pandukholi is also derived from the legend, Pandu means son of Pandu and Kholi means house (Shelter) since last so many years it was famous for the asharam of Maha Yogi Baba Balwant Giri. The temple at Pandukholi has statues of Shiva and five pandavas and this place is famous medicinal herb and multicolored flowers. One can reach there 3 Km tracking from the kukuchina.
SukhDevi Temple: As per the retinal belief it was said that the SukhDev Muni was the son of Ved Vyas ( who wrote Mahabharata) was also mediated here. It has the height of about 8000 feet and it offers stunning views of major peaks such as Kedarnath, Badrinath, Shivling, Chaukhamba, Trisul, Nanda Kot and Nanda Devi as well as the perfect spot to view sunrise and sunset.
Kukuchina:It is believed that Kukuchina was the last point till which Kaurava’s followed Pandava’s during their Agyatwaas as mentioned in Mahabharat. They lived during agayatwaas at Pandukholi which is about 3 KM away from Kukuchina.
Bhatkot:The height of peak of Bhatkot is about 9086 ft, which is one the highest peak of Kumaun and also known as Devine Mountain of Uttarakhand which is itself known as Land Of God. The name of Bhatkot is believed to have in the name of Bharat brother of Lord Rama who also believed to meditate here. It is also known as meditation spot where Mahavtar Baba, Hairakhan Baba,Nantin Baba etc did the meditation.
